This program provides support for state leadership activities, administration of the state plan for vocational and technical education, and subgrants to eligible recipients to improve vocational and technical education programs.
Career Pathways and Title II, Section 203
Purpose
The Career Pathways and Perkins Title II program was established to “develop more fully the academic and career and technical skills of secondary and postsecondary students who elect to enroll in career and technical education.”
Programs integrate academic and career and technical education instruction, and utilize work-based and worksite learning experiences where appropriate and available. Career Pathways encourages the use of educational technology and distance learning, as appropriate and includes in-service professional development for higher education faculty and school system teachers and administrators. |
